In order for an artist to win the Daesang, they first need to win a Bonsang award wherein winners will be chosen from the list of nominees (6 for Disk Bonsang and 4 for Digital Bonsang). 

In short, the winner of the Disk Daesang will be chosen from the 6 Disk Bonsang winners and the winner for the Digital Daesang will be chosen from the 4 Digital Bonsang winners.

Daesang winners get a trophy and a medal while Bonsang winners get a trophy only.

“Dream Girl” is a digital single which is a remake of Morning Musume “Love Machine” song and it will be served as the theme song to the Mnet show “대 동경소녀” a.k.a “DaeDong Kyung Youths” a.k.a “Meet Tokyo Girl”. This show is a Korea-Japan joint production organized by UFW.

[News] H!P Korea Auditions already started?

These pictures were actually from a news conference held at the Intercontinental Hotel Allegro Hall on 9th March. Leaders of 'Top Japanese Girl Groups,' Shimizu Saki(captain) from Berryz Kobou and Yajima Maimi from °C-ute, also attended the news conference with Tsunku. It was about the first ever Korea-Japan joint audition project called “Meet Tokyo Girl”.

“Meet Tokyo Girl” is a joint project between Up-Front(?) and Mnet Media, in which they will choose a Korean member through open auditions.

Starting from the 10th this month to the 19th of April, Tsunku will choose the 10 finalists. After the audition, these 10 members will go through an intense training for 8 weeks. And at the end, only one(1) will be chosen to become a trainee for Hello Project. The winner will then go to Japan, and take all the steps that a normal Japanese entertainer would take to debut in Japan.

H!P originally planned to launch this audition for last year after they held their concert but negotiations with Mnet fell through. They did go through with a Taiwanese audition tv show from which a new all-Taiwanese group, Ice cream Musume, was formed and is promoting both in Taiwan and in Japan.

It sounds like the same deal as the Taiwan auditions but this time, only one member is chosen. Will she gone a be a soloist artist or a new member among H!P's groups? (MM, BK & C-ute) no confirmation yet.

Arikan suffers from 'Bunions' & °C-ute becomes 6-nin?

H!P official website announced that one of the lovely °C-ute's member, Arihara Kanna is suffering from 'Bunions'. As a result, Arikan will be absent from several events including:

| Upcoming °C-ute’s 2009 Spring Concert Tour (April) and also
| The promotion events for their upcoming 8th single 'Bye, Bye, Bye!'.

Thats mean, °C-ute will continue their current activity temporary with the six members group.


Poor Kanna. Hopefully she will get better & completely recover soon. gambare!

Yessss...~ They were actually the winners of Taiwan's NEW STAR auditions or in other words the six girls, selected by Tsunku last September to be a part of new unit in Hello! Project family.

And today their official blog opened today but no post are posted yet, which can be visited here. This Ice Creamusume group consist of 6 girls whore are actually already given their own nickname. Thats nice... ^^;

[News] Abe Natsumi will be in Matsuyama Chiharu's PV

Nacchi has been recruited by Matsuyama Chiharu (Folk singer) to star in the music video for a new song.

This is apparently the first time that a Morning Musume graduate has appeared in a PV for another artist.

That song, titled "Omohi," goes on sale next week. Matsuyama and Nacchi first met during the spring of last year, as they both hail from Hokkaido, and they decided to work together for this PV. However, the collaboration plans were almost canceled due to Matsuyama's sudden hospitalization in June, but after he returned to work last month, he decided to proceed with the music video.

"Omohi" is being used as the theme song of an NTV drama special called "Kiri no Hi: Karafuto Maoka Yubinkyoku ni Chitta 9 Nin no Otometachi" that is scheduled to air on August 25.
